Yes, this actually happened. I love Twitter.
Ali Abdaal tweeted that he was looking for a name for his new company.
I have been following Ali's content for years now and thought of something that comes up a lot - the fact that he always prefers lighter aesthetics over darker aesthetics. So why not use that in the name?
He sent $1,200 to any charity of my choice! Honestly, naming my favorite YouTuber's own company is something I will never forget. So beyond cool.
💪 Power of Twitter
Twitter has an extremely low engagement per tweet. This is great because you can talk to your favorite authors, YouTubers, artists, etc with a pretty high likelihood they will respond.
💬 BUT What Do You Tweet?
Don't focus on other people. Set up a Twitter and build in public. People love to see the small details. The hard work. The behind-the-scenes.
👩💻 Coding Challenges
I am doing the #365DaysofCode challenge. I tweet every day about what I learned that day with a little snip of code.
🎬 Behind the Scenes
Post yourself working. It is motivating to get yourself to do the work when it is so public.
💼 Business Information
I post my revenue every week. People have told me not to. But one of my main values is being transparent and not gatekeeping. If it helps someone, that's great!

The point is to just build and have fun. If someone follows you, great. If not, it's not for them 😉.
